I am so used to my config-managed world that it's kind of exciting to work with an unmanaged server wjere we edit stuff and apt install

A few weeks ago I made my headless liberated Chromebook into a build server and hoped to use it for more, but I don't think it makes as much sense as a server as I had hoped.

I am settling on (for now): holly as an always on stable server (Prometheus, Jellyfin, Jenkins), with other servers (like x5z) being okay to mess with (add cards, take downtime).
I bought an older generation Nvidia Tesla card to play with some AI stuff without tying up my gaming PC with the 3060.
I have ordered (but not yet received) a Framework 13, so I'll go back to having a Linux laptop and sell my (last?!) Thinkpad.
I went for an extra-high DPI screen, so I am sure X11 scaling will fuck me up. I want those crisp fonts, tho.
Good work weeks, a nice mix of Thought Leadership ™ and PRs and just banging my head against problems (but in a good way).
