Snoopy repair was not successful, after a few hours work. Sad.
Pawan and I made a DC trip -- it was ... 90% successful? I had some incorrect disk trays so we were only able to add three disks to each of the Proliant machines. Installing white.coloc.systems was fine and (eventually) so was the RAM upgrade for one of our dedicated server customers. We also have the other PDU on the network so we can truly know how much electricity we are using instead of extrapolating it from the one PDU we could monitor.
In my homelab new NICs arrived to let me finally go all 10Gbit/s on the Ceph cluster. I also picked up an HBA, mostly so I have a way to test SAS drives before taking them to the DC. I don't see a need for SAS in the homelab. Not yet, anyway.
I wrote a big thing about self-hosting email and have allowed myself to be a bit radicalized by the idea. Like, sure, I co-run an ISP, but I actually do care about this stuff -- maybe even more than I thought that I did.
I've gotten more comfortable with both Rust and hx over the course of AoC. I need to get back to that. But I also need to write blog posts. And I also need to lead my life.
Work is good; next week will realistically be about unblocking people as much as shipping any of my own stuff before the year's end. (That will be my last week for the year).
