A mixed work week. Good results by deteriorated means -- bulk loading some data by round-tripping through my laptop.
Some Colocataires and most of the Ottawa Systems stuff is done, which is nice.
Helen and I have spoken at great length about the future of our house. Considered knocking it down. Considered knocking half of it down and splitting the lot. Read far too much about local planning rules etc. and now we're maybe full circle to staying here and making it nice?
I wrote a little tool for monitoring Mastodon. It's fun to write little things; not everything needs to generic or scratch everyone else's itch.
And I did some metal work! I cut a new top piece for my BLOC FAF paper pad and aged it a little and scribed and drilled new holes. Pleasing.
And I reworked my office and the gaming PC set up pretty handily -- arranging my space around one pluggable 4K screen/keyboard/mouse/cam/mic situation and I can either plug in work or personal laptop. Both proper desks are set up for standing, with the one that I made from bits obviously still normal height. The other 4K screen is on the gaming PC, which is fitting as it has the better video card. Helen's finished with her 1L machine that she did accounts on, so it'll become a spare for Colocataires' router -- Janus.
This means some stuff needs to get sold, given away, etc. -- the cycle continues. My Minifreak might be the next thing that I decide it does not spark (enough) joy to be worth keeping. I'd rather someone else was enjoying it. It's a fab piece of kit for someone who actually uses it.
