Pretty amazing example of breaking a habit -- after over a year of updating this (with a couple of small missing updates) -- I forgot that it existed for like five weeks.
Today I did some TailwindCSS. I didn't like it. It's so verbose and it feels like the opposite of what CSS gives you. I guess it's made for someone other than me?
I started a project using Bootstrap for its CSS. It's like an old dependable tool. I remember when it first came out and suddenly every programmer-driven internal tool which previously had some awful custom UI (or no styling) at least got the basic facelift of having Bootstrap. Even though it's somewhat out of fashion, they truly changed things by having an open implementation of Twitter's design system that anyone could use.
I like PaperWM. I think it might suit me in a way that tiling and floating don't. Or maybe I just like the novelty. So far, so good, anyway.
I've gotten to use a bit of Flink in anger at work -- it's pretty neat, actually. I'd had a little exposure to it at Shopify, but using something is not the same as being the person setting something up from scratch (even if it's just a little proof-of-concept).
